BIO
Seunghan is a combined master’s-Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at UNIST. He developed a fascination with the intricate workings of the brain during his neuroscience course. After graduating from Chungnam National University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Seunghan joined the BCILAB where he works under the guidance of Professor Sung-Phil Kim. Together, they investigate motor and cognitive functions using intra-cortical neural signals, including action potentials and electrocorticography (ECoG). Their research employs machine learning and dynamical systems theory to explore covert neuronal structures. Seunghan and Sung-Phil are not only intrigued by the mechanisms of intra-regional interaction but are also keen on leveraging these insights to enhance brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies.
