BIO
Seungbeom Seo is an M.S. student in Biomedical Engineering at UNIST. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from UNIST, developing early on a fascination with how brain signals can bridge thought and action. While his current work focuses on visual perception paradigms in EEG-based brain–computer interfaces, his broader vision is to translate BCI technologies into real-world applications that enhance human–machine collaboration, communication for people with severe motor impairments, and adaptive neurorehabilitation tools. Driven by a multidisciplinary spirit, Seungbeom integrates insights from cognitive neuroscience, signal processing, and machine/deep learning to push the boundaries of what BCIs can achieve outside of the lab. Beyond the bench, he’s a devoted foodie and avid traveler—always on the lookout for authentic local dishes and the stories they tell about culture and community. Whether he’s debugging code or sampling street-market specialties, Seungbeom approaches every challenge with curiosity, creativity, and a taste for adventure.
